As Alexandria transformed from an old Colonial seaport to a modern city, the early 60’s marked the first major expansion for the once boutique local business. Transitioning to the third generation of the Holden family, Charles III was able to learn the business from the previous two generations, take advantage of the urbanization of the area and grow the business exponentially.
Holden and Company saw its first transition of power when Charles’ son, Charles JR., joined the agency and guided it through the post World War 2 era.
